Dentistry in Hepatitis C Elimination Program

According to the governmental initiation the year of 2015 is a year of fully defeating Hepatitis C in Georgia.

Georgian Stomatological Association shared the challenge of ministry of labour, health and social affairs of Georgia and at January 24^th, 2015 held a scientific conference “Dentistry in Hepatitis C Elimination Program” within the frame of campaign “Together We Can Defeat Hepatitis C”.

The scientific-research center Radix joined the campaign and the Vice-President of organization Gvantsa Tabaghua announced 3 important messages from the NGO to the most important governmental campaign:

1. Increasing the level of awareness about the Hepatitis C!
2. Create the effective infection control mechanisms (guidelines, professional advisory group) among the dental facilities!
3. Hepatitis C is an infection disease than can be cured – together we can defeat stigma and selfstigma!
