Tbilisi 13th International Dental Congress

In 2024, at the Tbilisi 13th International Dental Congress, the future format of dental conferences will be offered, which will be held by the Scientific Network “Radix”. The Radix team has the ambition to reformat traditional scientific conferences and present an innovative model to colleagues – to create a dynamic and interactive platform in dentistry.

Instead of the usual approach of scientific presentations, the congress will be held in a carefully structured session format, with each session (plenum) hosting 3-4 distinguished speakers and an expert moderator. This format helps create a more focused and engaging environment, with each session aimed to specific interest groups within the dental community.

This year, the congress will be divided into three parts, May 17, 18 will be devoted to scientific reports, and on May 19, invited speakers will offer master classes.

Gums & Beyond: Exploring the Frontiers of Periodontics

During the last 10 years, the field of periodontology in Georgia has developed at a fairly fast pace. Access to information and the integration of modern guidelines into our practice have changed the methods of diagnosis, treatment planning and direct treatment. Speakers presented in the section will talk about important issues of clinical case management.

Navigating the Future: Digitalization in Dental Practice Management

Digitization of medicine is an irreversible process. In the face of increasing regulatory trends, streamlining and reducing routine administrative activities is a concern of all clinicians. The section will present companies on the Georgian market that can provide this service to dental clinics.

 

Community and Oral Health: Exploring Public Health Dentistry 

The pandemic exposed the information vacuum between the achievements of science and ordinary citizens. The public health interventions discussed in the section, which include dental practical practice, are a component of the clinic’s activities, scientific findings, that dentists as representatives of medical science should be part of.

The clinical results of Georgian specialists are not inferior to the achievements of their foreign colleagues, although the management, treatment and planning of complex patients is still a challenge. What data collection is necessary for a complete anamnesis, what is the role of the technical laboratory, orthodontist or orthopedic dentist, what kind of communication problems can we encounter and how does all this affect the final result?!
