Topic: MTA In Endodontic Practice

MTA (Mineral trioxide aggregate) is an innovative dental material and widely used in modern dentistry. It is frequently used in endodontics. MTA compared to calcium hydroxide, eugenol and etc. and had similar or better results. This material has high biocompatibility, minimal or no leakage, hydrophilic radio-opaque, excellent sealing ability. MTA has been successfully used for perforations, horizontal root fractures, sealing communications between the root canal space and external root surfaces, filling root canals of teeth with mature and open apexes.
In endodontic practice, we mainly use MTA PROROOT and MTA ANGELUS. We are interested in MTA FILLAPEX ANGELUS as a new study material which only use for permanent tooth canal filling.
Topic: Advantages of using glass fiber posts and technique how to use them.

Fluoridation and “wait and see”? Or “drilling and restoring”?
Until recently, these were a dentist’s options at the first indication of incipient caries. The innovative micro-invasive caries infiltration method offers a new approach to counteracting incipient caries early without sacrificing healthy hard tissue – in only one sitting, simple, and without drilling or anesthesia.
The intelligent principle: Driven by capillary forces, the »infiltrate«, a highly fluid resin, penetrates into the enamel caries and blocks the diffusion paths for cariogenic acids, thus promoting the early arrest of caries in difficult-to-reach proximal areas and on smooth surfaces. Icon prolongs the life expectancy of the tooth. We have two type of icon:
1. Caries infiltrate proximal.
2. Caries infiltrate smooth surface.
It is also gentle method for correcting cariogenic white spots.
Utilization of Osteoplastic Materials in Parodontology Surgery
Author: 5 th year student of faculty of dentistry: Kakhidze Maya
Leader: Doctor of Medicine, Professor: Natalie Dgebuadze
Tbilisi Medical University “Hippocrates”
Modern periodontology requires the integration of all dental profiles and fundamental theoretical knowledge. Treatment of patients’ periodontal disease is one of the main and relevant problems in dentistry. Integrated treatment of parodentium includes not only therapeutic, orthopedic and orthodontic treatment, but also periodontal surgery that main purpose is to restore tooth’s morph-functional activity by using osteoplastic means. Nowadays there are plenty of osteoplastic means at stomatology market. I would like to draw your attention to new Botiss Biomaterials products, bio product that composition allows us to achieve optimal results in any clinical cases. The pleasant surprise is that this company has a complete collection for any clinical cases. In order to make more clear our theme, I would provide one clinical case: 36 years-old woman addressed a doctor with following complaints: suppuration from tooth-gum pocket, an unpleasant odor in the mouth, pain and shakiness front teeth. From Anamnesis revealed: since 16 years old she suffers from gums inflammation, treatment was not carried out. After delivery her condition of oral health worsened. She addressed a local dentist, treatment included: removal of plaque, applications and physical therapy. Patient mentioned temporary recovery, for the last two years she suffered from exacerbation, once in every 3 months.
Under the clinical and X-ray examinations was diagnosed following: rapidly progressive, severe periodontitis. How can we help such patient? What comes of surgical intervention, namely by using Botiss organic products.
We have used one of the Botiss organic products “Cerabone”, which is made of bovine bone; it has the similar structure with human bone. Cerabone has a hydrophilic surface, three dimensional structure allows its interference into the blood, protein, and originate stimulation of bone, it has optimal adhesion and plasticity, its application in augmentation area is provided under controlled integration procedure than resorption that is approved under clinical and laboratory examinations.
Topic: Obturation of root canal with thermafil and microseal systems

Obturation of root canal with thermafil and microseal systems is innovative technology, in which is use thermally softened gutta-percha. These methods provide the dimensional obturation of the root of the canal. Thermafil and Microseal systems require to use the special equipment and instruments, also the success of obturation depends on the accuracy of the technology. The purpose of this work is description the necessary instruments and filling stages.
