The conference was conducted by the Research Center “Radix” representatives Nino Nebieridze, Anka Machaidze, Lika Gogilashvili and Mariam Qurtsikidze.
Welcome speech was spoken by the President of the scientific research center “Radix” Nino Gvasalia, executive director of the project of the TB Georgian Coalition Nino Osepashvili and the vice president of the Georgian Dental Association Zurab Alkhanishvili.
Conference speeches were made by the representatives of the TB Georgian Coalition, TB doctor Eka Sanikidze and Lela Tsakadze, also by the Scientific Research center “Radix” representative, periodontologist, Tea Natsvlishvili.
Eka Sanikidze talked about the basic aspects of the fight against TB. The report presented historical facts proving the activity of the Georgian population against TB. Also were discussed the main issues that are important to prevent TB.
Lela Tsakadze discussed TB diagnosis and treatment program on the agenda of the National Coalition. The main diagnostic signs of TB and specially drawn tests were presented, which helps the doctor to record the suspicions patient in particular risk factor group. It is important not only in terms of treatment planning, but also for the prevention of infection of medical stuff.
The presenter of the Scientific research center “Radix”, Tea Natsvlishvili talked about the a manifestation of tuberculosis of the oral mucosa, diagnosis and treatment of the features of the dental practice.
At the end, the President of the Georgian Dental Association , Professor Ketevan Gogilashvili summarized the event.
